Mimram Quilters was started in 1984 to meet the needs of an enthusiastic group of quilters who had become too numerous to meet in each others homes. The group has expanded further, and over the years has also held a number of exhibitions. We have a very broad range of experience as quilters, ranging from complete beginners to ones who have gone through the City and Guilds system- but all share a love of fabrics and threads and the satisfaction of making something creative. We want to be all embracing from traditional to quilt art. Mimram is an affiliate member of the Quilters Guild. We meet on the first Monday of the month (except bank holidays when it will be on the second Monday) in the Civic Centre, Welwyn starting at 7.30pm. The meetings are a mix of speakers, demonstrations or hands-on sewing evenings. New members are very welcome, please feel free to come as a visitor before you join. Visitors are very welcome to our monthly meetings (cost £4, including coffee / tea) - see our program for meeting topics.
